I find a solution tu put voices in new
missions briefing ! Record your text in the same format of
the game (ex for mission b8m01: B08m0102 first lign of
brieifng text, S08m0101 commander briefing) put you files in
MissionsVoice/frontend/B8M1
Make a copy of CD2 of XWA (you don't have to put the folder
flighmodel and missions) and add your folders in
frontend. It works fine !!

That's cool if it's just a
one-shot...very cool but I don't even have a CD burner so the
old XvT way was best. It's still great but a nice patch
making the game look to the hardrive would be really
convenient. Good work man!

Why not just edit the registry and
chnage the cd path to your hard drive. You would then just
need to copy the 2 disk id files from your cds to your xwa
directory. This is the best way to do this I think.

I'm sorry you only need to change the
last two lines that ask for source dir and source path.

I uploaded Flaming_Imp's program to my
site. It's http://www.xwacommand.com/ and it's located
in the Downloads under "Xwing Game Files".

What my patch does is make XWA look on
the hard drive instead of the CD for the audio. So you have to
copy all of the \Wave folder to your hard drive if you want
audio in the original missions.

It's actually a very cool
program....unfortunately it's also rarely used.

Anything that lets me finally kill
Emkay (thus solving the problem with changing the family
quarters) and change the speech for the medals award ceremony
(thus solving the problem with having custom medals) is
definitely worth a mention.

My program is not user friendly when
it comes to having other stuff going on. If you ever want it
in more of a install and forget about program send an email to
the address on the program.
